A Message from our Chief Administrator…

Welcome to International Community School, a place that is changing the face of education. This unique, hybrid model encourages high parental involvement and focuses on the three pillars of faith, family, and scholarship. It is my honor to serve with a dynamic team of educators, administrators, and support staff, who consistently pour into the lives of our students while demonstrating godly character in their own.

Our community is comprised of families from over 90 different Christian churches. Our unity is first in our belief and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, followed by a deep passion to educate our children to know, love and serve Him. While we have a strong emphasis on character training, our academic program is rigorous and challenging. All of these components work together to produce students who will be the world changers of tomorrow.

If you are just investigating International Community School, I welcome you. Our website is here to help you learn about our education model. If you feel that you need more information or simply desire more personal dialogue about ICS, I invite you to attend our next Informational Meeting where I will share more about what God is doing at our amazing school. Thank you for visiting. I hope we will have the opportunity to meet face to face in the future.

In His grace & mercy,
Robyn Terwilleger
ICS Principal/Chief Administrator

Is ICS Right for You?

  • Do you and your spouse have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?
  • Are you discipling your child to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?
  • Do you and your family attend church weekly and are you actively involved in Christian ministry?
  • Would your family be in agreement with our Statement of Faith and be able to sign it?
  • Do you believe that parent involvement is an integral part of education?
  • Does our tuition fit in your family’s budget?
  • Is one parent able to stay home on Mondays and Wednesdays for home instruction days?
  • Do you have time in your schedule to Parent Partner in the classroom (an average of 3 times per semester)?
  • Would both parents be able to complete the required parenting course within the first semester? (PK-5th Grade: 15 Week Course, 6th-12th Grade: Book with Questions)
  • Is your child able to learn on an advanced track, without the use of multiple learning aids?
  • Does your student have a record without any suspensions, expulsions, drug use, criminal charges, or violent behavior?

If you answered yes to all of the questions above,
it is possible that ICS is the school for you.

Steps to Enrollment

These meetings are held throughout the school year and are a mandatory first step toward involvement in any International Community School program. In an effort to honor everyone in attendance, children are not allowed to attend.

Informational Meeting Dates

Open Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year begins February 9, 2024 at 10:00am and closes on June 11, 2024.

Pick up a New Family Enrollment Packet from the office, complete and return with applicable registration fees.

All registration fees are non-refundable nor transferrable.

A representative from the school office will call to set up a time for your 45-minute on-campus family interview.  We’d like to meet your entire family and have you meet us!

Following the family interview, an academic evaluation will be necessary for class placement in the 1st through 11th grades. All students entering pre-kindergarten and kindergarten will take the Gesell Test to determine developmental readiness. Fees are due at time of testing.

If your student is in grades 9-12, the High School Administrative Assistant will call to schedule a meeting with the High School Administrator to write a four-year graduation plan following the family interview. This meeting does not guarantee acceptance.

If it is on or after July 31st, it’s time to begin paying tuition for the coming school year. After the withdrawal deadline in May you are committed to paying the full year’s tuition.

Make sure your student’s immunizations are up-to-date and all necessary medical forms are turned in to the school office prior to your student starting school. We will need the original immunization form, the original DH 3040 School Entry Health Exam form (current exam within 12 months) and a copy of the birth certificate.

Get a class textbook list and uniform information from the office to make your purchases. Delaying this step may mean your child will not have the appropriate books and uniforms for the first day of classes. Please allow at least four weeks for curriculum orders.

New Family Orientation is a vital, mandatory step in enrolling at ICS and takes place in June. Parent and Student Orientations occur the week before school begins and are a time of training and preparation for the new school year. Refer to the ICS calendar for specific orientation dates.

Parents have to complete the required Christian parenting course (PK-5th) or parenting book with questions (6th-12th) by the end of the first semester of enrollment. Contact the Registrar for details.
