E-Zone is a unique program at International Community School, offering multiple choices for enrichment to enhance your child’s education. While it is a mandatory day each week for 7th and 8th graders enrolled in our Academic Program, it is an optional day for students in Pre-K through 6th grade in our Academic Program or Private School Covering Programs. E-Zone is not available for 7th and 8th graders enrolled in our Private School Covering Program. Offered on Fridays each week, E-Zone provides choices to enhance our children’s education, incorporating art, music, drama, cooking, sports and many other hands-on learning experiences.
Students can customize their day to their interests, choosing from courses that expand their academic curriculum or add another dimension altogether. Learners move from class to class throughout the day, offering opportunities to experience new teachers and new friends along the way. The E-Zone sports component takes place at the RDV Sportsplex in Maitland or at Fortress Hill Martial Arts Studio in Longwood.
Students travel by bus to the RDV state-of-the-art facility, where they can choose from a variety of sports taught by qualified instructors, or by E-Zone staff vehicles to Fortress Hill.
